Earl Hayes — the man who cops say shot his famous wife to death Monday and then killed himself — was haunted by her infidelity … in particular what he said was a fling she had with singer Trey Songz.

As TMZ reported, Stephanie Moseley — the star of VH1’s “Hit the Floor” — was gunned down in their L.A. apartment as neighbors heard her screaming. Shots rang out, the SWAT team came, busted through the door and discovered the 2 bodies.

Sources connected with Hayes tell us … around 2 years ago he separated from Stephanie because of what he says was her affair with Songz. They got back together but, as one friend put it, “He was crushed and never got over it.” We’re told he frequently brought up Songz.

Hayes accused Moseley of having multiple affairs with various other entertainers. She was a backup dancer who worked with numerous famous singers, including Chris Brown and Usher, but we’re told Hayes never mentioned them as a source of conflict.

Hayes and Moseley married in 2008 and his friends say he loved her and tried rationalizing staying together.

Gloria Allred Files a Lawsuit on Behalf of Ex-Fiancee Miss Jackson Against Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

Floyd Mayweather’s ex-fiancee Shantel Jackson is suing the boxer — claiming he attacked her on multiple occasions and once PULLED A GUN ON HER and threatened to shoot.

According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ Sports, Jackson claims Floyd first got violent with her back in 2012 … right after he was released from the slammer in a domestic violence case involving another woman.

Jackson claims the two were arguing when “He twisted [her] arm, choked her and forcibly took her phone away from her to look through it.”

Jackson claims Mayweather got violent again in April 2013 … when during another argument, he “bent her arm, restrained her, and pointed a gun at her foot, asking ‘Which toe do you want me to shoot?’”

In her suit, Jackson claims he then demanded her to remove her 17 carat diamond engagement ring at gunpoint.

Jackson also claims Mayweather invaded her privacy when he posted photos of her sonogram on social media — and claimed the “real” reason they broke up is because she “killed our twin babies.”

There’s more … Jackson claims Mayweather struck again in Feb. 2014 at his condo at the Ritz in L.A.

Shantel claims she was trying to leave following yet another argument — when Floyd grabbed her by the arm and dragged her back inside. She claims Floyd blocked her from leaving for more than an hour.

She’s suing for assault, battery, defamation, invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, harassment and more.

Jay Z, Mayor Garcetti Announce Summer L.A. Music Festival

Mayor Eric Garcetti teamed up with Jay Z during a news conference on Wednesday to announce a summer music festival that would be taking place in downtown Los Angeles this summer.

The two-day “Budweiser Made in America” concert is scheduled for August 30 and August 31 in Grand Park, according to a news release from Budweiser and the United Way of Greater Los Angeles.

“On Labor Day weekend, we’re going to celebrate our golden state of mind right here in L.A. with a sellout crowd, right here on the steps of City Hall and into Grand Park,” Garcetti said during the news conference.

About 50,000 people were expected to attend the two-day concert, according to Garcetti, who was credited with bringing the event to L.A. by Jay Z.

“Los Angeles, you all should be very proud of this incredible mayor you have, who pulled this thing together in record time,” Jay Z said. “Two years ago, he had a vision of putting together a music festival that blurred musical genre lines.”

The 19-time Grammy winner noted that local residents would have the benefit of being able to go to a music festival that wasn’t at “some far off place that you can’t get to.”

He added that the concert was meant to be inclusive and “not exclusive.”

The “Budweiser Made in America” music festival will also be held on the same two dates in Philadelphia, which has hosted the concert since 2012.

“We started two years ago in Philadelphia and had huge success,” Jay Z said. “I’m sure we’ll have even more success in Los Angeles. We’re very proud to be here.”

The two-day event could be a major boost to the L.A.’s economy, as Garcetti noted that the first concert in Philadelphia had an economic impact of $10 million on the city.

Some of the benefits from the L.A. location festival were expected to go to The United Way of Greater Los Angeles, according to L.A. City Council President Herb Wesson.

The music festival in Philadelphia would benefit the United Way of Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, and the United Way of Lancaster County, the release stated.

The prospect of a concert in the city thrilled some L.A. residents.

“That’s pretty cool,” said Elizabeth Lee, who works in downtown. “That sounds fun.”

Others, however, expressed concerns that the festival would create more traffic in the city.

“Yeah, sure, why not add more traffic to downtown L.A.,” Bill Engvall said. “Let’s see how much we can take.”

“Early bird” tickets, including fees, cost $155 and were scheduled to go on sale Friday at 10 a.m., according to Ticketmaster’s website.

Football Star Exonerated on Rape Charges Wants State to Pay Up

Wednesday, May 30th, 2012

Brian Banks, a former Long Beach Poly High School football star, had his rape conviction thrown out this week after the alleged victim admitted to lying about the incident. Banks spent five years in prison after pleading no contest to forcible rape and is now seeking money from California.

“We do not plan on taking any legal action against Gibson,” said Banks’ attorney, Justin Brooks of the California Innocence Project, referring to Banks’ accuser, Wanetta Gibson. “We do plan on filing a state claim for the $100 a day Brian is entitled to under State Law 4900 for every day he was wrongfully incarcerated.”

Wanetta Gibson accused Banks of raping her at Long Beach Poly High School back in 2001 when she was just 15. Her mother sued the Long Beach school system, which led to a $750,000 payment from a civil suit.

In a strange turn of events Gibson friended Banks on Facebook, and offered to help him clear his record after admitting that she lied about her claims. However, she refused to re-tell her story to prosecutors in fear of losing the money she received in the lawsuit.

L.A. prosecutors are not planning on suing Gibson for making false accusations, saying it would be a tough case to prove.

During the time of his arrest Banks had garnered attention from such college powerhouses as University of Southern California, University of Michigan and University of Ohio, but had given a verbal agreement to play for USC on scholarship.

During an interview with the Today show on Thursday Banks revealed that he still had hopes to play in the NFL.

Kobe’s Advice to Blake Griffin: “Smack the F*** Out of Somebody”

Friday, April 27th, 2012

Kobe Bryant has a few words of wisdom to pass on to Blake Griffin, the star player of the opposing L.A. team. Bryant has publicly praised Griffin, even referring to him as one of the league’s best players, and now the Black Mamba is saying that Blake needs to protect himself, as the high flyer frequently takes a beating from opposing players.

“I’d smack the f— out of somebody,” Bryant told ESPNLosAngeles.com on Wednesday. “I’ve known him for a while and he’s a really nice guy so I don’t know if he’d want to do that. But I would. I would’ve done it early in the year.”

Kobe went on to mention how he too had to deal with many harsh fouls early in his career and how important it is to stand up for yourself.

“At some point, you have to protect yourself,” Bryant said. “I’ve had to do it many times in my career. I’ve seen Shaq do it many times, too. Some guys you just don’t mess with.
I saw Shaq crack somebody his first year. I did it my first few years. Sometimes people feel like they can take advantage of you, they hit you and this, that, and the other.
Sometimes you have to say, ‘Look, you’re not going to do this to me. I’ll take two games but you’re not going to put my health at risk by injuring me potentially. It’s not going to happen.’ “

The Los Angeles Clippers have grown tired of the rough fouls that Griffin has endured this year and the organization contacted the league office to request that they do more to discourage distasteful fouls against their star (such as the dangerous clothesline that Griffin took from Suns’ player Robin Lopez last week).

Players may foul Griffin to prevent a game changing dunk, or they could just be putting him on the free throw line because the guy only shoots 52.2% from the line and they like their chances.
