(HEAT INTERVIEW) The multi-talented Evan Golden

Tuesday, June 5th, 2018

From host, print model, entertainment correspondent, philanthropist, athlete, and reality TV star, to being the breakout star on Ivana Trump’s reality show, Evan has been putting in work and seeing massive results.

The Florida native has quite an impressive resume that includes national commercials, TV appearances, hosting, and so much more. He currently hosts “Eye on South Florida”, a role in which he has had the opportunity to interview countless celebrities. In addition, he was recently nominated for the “Real Men Wear Pink Campaign” supporting the American Cancer Society. Evan says he stepped up to help fight breast cancer with all he has, while emphasizing the fact that both women and men can be affected by the disease. Most importantly, Evan says he recognizes that he is in a position of influence and that he is obligated to use his position wisely and to shine his light. All of that aside though, his most important role is likely that of a family man.

Suffice it to say, Evan is a busy man who is using his celebrity for good. It is no wonder why he has been blessed with such golden opportunities. He is truly a one-man show whose talent, personality and high energy stands out. It is because of this that he is highly sought after. It is also because of these qualities that we are confident it will not be long before Evan takes his place among the superstars of his generation.

We recently caught up with Evan Golden and here’s what he had to say:

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Growing up, who influenced you the most?

EVAN GOLDEN: My parents influenced me the most. They gave my sister and me the ability to pursue our passions and have showed us the meaning of true love and the importance of family.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: You have an interesting story. If you had to pinpoint one moment that solidified your entering the entertainment industry, what would that be?

EVAN GOLDEN: Being cast on Ivana Trump’s reality show, “Ivana Young Man” was one of the most exhilarating television experiences of my life. Ivana Trump personally hand-picked me to be on the show, as I was one of 6 bachelors given the opportunity of luxury, fame and riches. Spoiler Alert – I made it to the Final 2. If you have not watched this reality show, it’s a must see. You will laugh, cry and be in suspense the entire time.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Do you think excelling in sports helps you in your current career?

EVAN GOLDEN: In sports you learn valuable life lessons. You learn how to work as a team, taking directions, making effort, overcoming adversity, and responding to defeat. Practice makes perfect. Many aspects, I use every day in life. I have learned through team and organized sports.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What has been your favorite “gig” so far and why?

EVAN GOLDEN: Hosting the TV Show “Eye on South Florida” is a dream come true. I am able to share all the amazing things happening in our community.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What has been your greatest accomplishment as an entertainment personality?

EVAN GOLDEN: Having a platform to help bring awareness to so many small local non-profit organizations. As the recipient of South Florida Young Leaders in Philanthropy, I have been able to help bring much exposure and have raised thousands of dollars for many local non-profits.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What motivates you?

EVAN GOLDEN: I am motivated to be a good human and role model for my two sons to look up to and be proud of. I am a leader in my community and will help heal us as we try to overcome the Parkland Shooting Massacre.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What are you currently working on?

EVAN GOLDEN: Currently I have been nominated for the “Real Men Wear Pink Campaign” on behalf of the American Cancer Society, so I am raising money for breast cancer.

In a report made public on Wednesday, 30-year-old Viven Palmer faces charges of battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and resisting an officer, according to a CBS affiliate, WJAX, in Jacksonville.

Police were reportedly called to the home where they saw a man waving and yelling “Help, police,” from his front door. A woman, who was later identified as Palmer, refused to speak to the police as she put items into a car that was parked outside the home. Two children, ages 4 and 9, were inside the car, according to WJAX.

Palmer’s husband told police that he and his wife were arguing about getting a divorce when “his wife came after him, damaging property along the way,” according to WJAX. Palmer’s husband told police that his wife ripped off his shirt, poured barbecue sauce on him and hit him. He fought back. When Palmer grabbed the butcher knives, Palmer’s husband said he ran outside.

Palmer was released on Tuesday from the Palm Beach County Jail on $5,000 bail. According to WJAX, she has no criminal history.

Two Alabama college students have been suspended after authorities discovered a cellphone video that allegedly shows them sexually assaulting a woman at a Florida beach while a large crowd of spring-break revelers watches.

Bay County Sheriff Frank McKeithen described the video as “very, very graphic” and called it the “most disgusting, sickening thing” he had ever seen. He said the footage shows several men surrounding an incapacitated woman on a beach chair.

The victim told authorities that she thought she had been drugged at the time, and she did not remember the incident well enough to report it.

Both students attended Troy University.

Delonte Martistee, a 22-year-old senior from Bainbridge, Georgia, and Ryan Calhoun, a 23-year-old sophomore from Mobile, Alabama, were arrested Thursday in Alabama on Florida warrants. Martistee remained in jail Sunday in Panama City. Calhoun was released on bond.

The sheriff’s office said additional arrests are expected.

Court records do not list attorneys for either man. Calls to a phone listing for Calhoun were not immediately returned Sunday. A phone listing for Martistee’s mother rang unanswered.

Authorities have released few details of the assault, which they say happened sometime between March 10 and March 12 but was only recently uncovered while university police were investigating a shooting.

The sheriff’s office released a short video of the crowd they said was present at the time. The recording shows a seemingly normal day at the beach for dozens of bikini-clad spring breakers goofing off and standing around talking about Instagram. At one point, a few people cheer, but it’s unclear why.

Thursday, February 19th, 2015

Vanilla Ice has been released from custody in Florida after being arrested and charged with breaking into and stealing from an abandoned home.

After the owners alerted authorities, police obtained a search warrant and, according to a Lantana police news release, recovered some of the items at Ice’s home in Palm Beach County.

The police department told media the theft is connected to the rapper’s ongoing DIY Network TV show, The Vanilla Ice Project, in which he and a crew renovate and flip homes.

The 47-year-old, who rose to fame with the hit Ice Ice Baby, was charged Wednesday with burglary of a residence and grand theft and taken into custody.
