(HEAT ALBUMS) Quest the 7th – “Algiers Chronicles”

Friday, February 9th, 2018

We hear true music fans complaining almost constantly about the lack of quality music. It’s obvious they haven’t yet heard “Algiers Chronicles”, the album from dope artist/producer/arranger/songwriter/entreprenuer Quest the 7th.

Hailing from New Orleans’ “Westbank” (Algiers to be exact), Quest breathes new life into what some consider a dull and drone decade of music/entertainment. And when we say “breathes new life into”, what we really mean is “jump starts” and “successfully performs CPR” on it!

Quest the 7th is a super talented entertainer, on an upper echelon type plateau. Few musicians rival his talent and calculated movements.

Stay tuned for an upcoming interview with Quest the 7th. You’ll learn a lot more about the man behind the myth, and you’ll gain some insight as to what’s coming down the pike for Quest and his career.

capture-20140109-134926-crop

Last night the King of R&B R. Kelly was spotted celebrating his 47th birthday at STK Atlanta, while holding court with seven women. The group spared no expense, ordering rounds of Shellfish Platters, lemon drop shots and two bottles of Krug. Kelly then order the Chef’s specialty for dinner, Seabass with King Crab topping and Lobster Mac & Cheese.

Casually dressed in a black shirt, black pants, army green DOPE hat & signature sunglasses while indoors look. R. Kelly and his lady friends were having a great time singing, dancing and enjoying DJ Dillion – who they requested play some of his songs. R. Kelly just released his 12th studio album, Black Panties an homage to his debut album from 1993, 12 Play. Black Pantiesdebuted at #4 on the Billboard 200.

It was announced earlier that R. Kelly’s music video was delayed due to artist “mismanagement” by Lady Gaga’s team. R. Kelly seemed unaffected and in great spirits with fans.

Thanks Sylvester Lyons

Sentencing in federal case involving Harris County Sheriff’s deputy & cocaine charges

Tuesday, February 21st, 2012

HOUSTON—John Edward Scott, 35, of Houston, has been sentenced to federal prison for his participation with a Harris County sheriff’s deputy in a scheme to steal narcotics, United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson announced today.

Scott pleaded guilty to conspiracy to interfere with commerce by extortion in May 2011. Today, U.S. District Judge Vanessa Gilmore sentenced him to 70 months in federal prison to be followed by a three-year term of supervised release.

In late 2010, the Houston Police Department (HPD) obtained information that members of law enforcement were robbing shipments of narcotics in Houston and subsequently initiated a sting operation. On Dec. 15, 2010, then Deputy Richard Bryan Nutt, 44, of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office met with co-defendants Nathaniel House, 38, Richard Jerome Banks, 39, Danny Wayne Bell, 41, and Scott. At the meeting, House told the group that a vehicle containing narcotics or narcotics proceeds would be driving through Houston. The co-defendants agreed to stop the vehicle, a Chrysler Aspen SUV, with the assistance of Deputy Nutt. Nutt was to conduct a traffic stop of the SUV, which was reportedly to be driven by a drug dealer from Mexico, and pretend to arrest the driver then release him while the co-defendants took the vehicle containing the drugs. The conspirators would then split the money from the sale of the drugs.

Later that day, Nutt, in full uniform and driving a silver pickup equipped with red and blue emergency lights, spotted and followed the Chrysler Aspen SUV as it drove into a parking lot of a Houston area shopping center. Once parked, the SUV driver, actually an undercover HPD officer, abandoned the SUV. House entered the SUV and removed a package he believed contained cocaine and transferred the package to a blue Nissan Altima allegedly driven by Banks. Leaving the silver pickup to other co-defendants, Nutt entered the passenger seat of the blue Nissan Altima and left the parking lot in the vehicle with the package. As the Nissan Altima left the parking lot it was stopped by HPD officers. The package, which actually contained fake cocaine, was found and removed from under the passenger seat where Nutt sat. Nutt and his co-defendants were arrested by law enforcement officers and subsequently charged federally.

Scott has been in custody since his arrest, where he will remain pending transfer to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility to be determined in the near future. Nutt, House, Banks and Bell all also pleaded guilty to the charges and are pending sentencing.

The investigation was conducted by the Internal Affairs and Narcotics Divisions of the Houston Police Department with the assistance of the FBI. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney James McAlister.

SUSPECT TO UNDERCOVER OFFICER: Hook My Potna Up With a Discount!

Gregory Murphy

Benjamin Bonds

Fort Walton Beach, Florida is a vacation paradise nestled along the Emerald Coast of the Florida Panhandle.  Apparently, it is also home to several mental giants who unwittingly concocted a scheme to get a discount on a drug purchase.

27-year old Gregory Dewayne Murphy reportedly stepped in to help his friend negotiate for a lower price on a crack purchase in Okaloosa County.  The problem with that was the purchase was part of a sting operation run by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office’s Street Crimes Unit.

At around 2:30 a.m. on January 15th, Murphy’s friend, 29-year old Benjamin Bonds, parked in the lot of the Pinecrest Mobile Home Park on Racetrack Road. When an undercover deputy approached the Buick occupied by the duo, Bonds asked to purchase $60 worth of crack cocaine.  Murphy was riding shotgun and “participated in the negotiation for the crack cocaine with me and Bonds,” according to the police report.

Bonds and Murphy were both arrested at the scene and charged with felony cocaine possession with intent to purchase a Schedule II narcotic.
