SIR CALLOWAY…”THE EXECUTION” MIXTAPE RELEASE FEATURING THE SINGLE, WE WORKIN’

As the hip hop artist the world will come to know as “Sir Calloway”, he brings that raw, refreshingly creative & original music. Currently residing in Atlanta, GA., he has been referred to as “The true definition of southern hip-hop” by Grammy winning producer/songwriter Bolo Da Producer.

Sir Calloway is currently promoting his mix tape album “THE EXECUTION”. This project is being promoted via live performances throughout the city of ATL & various media outlets such as MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LiveMixTapes Datpiff.com, Worldstarhiphop.com, etc.

He’s released indie singles under the moniker “Dirty The Southernaire” such as 2002’s “Parking Lot Anthem” and 2006’s “Passion Fruit” both distributed by “BDC” that were sold on Amazon and in select F.Y.E stores in Georgia & North Florida. He has also released two mix tapes “Dirt Road Dialogue” Volumes 1 & 2 to support those indie singles.

With growth and experience comes maturity so he decided to shorten and simplify his stage name to “Sir Calloway. He’s been on tour with Lil Jon and his B.M.E camp in 2005 on the ‘Anger Management’ tour. He has worked with Ms. Tee (formerly of Cash Money Records), Bola (Grand Hustles First Lady) and have developed relationships with artist’s in the industry such as 4ize, Attitude, Stat Quo, LaTavia Roberson, Princess, Killer Mike, DJ Scorpio, DJ MLK and many more. He’s also been tapped to write songs on other artist’s project’s adding “Songwriter” to his resume and services. His dreams of rap stardom and being respected as a lyricist since his adolescent years, but as fate would have it, theater & film came first.

His dedication, determination and belief in “self” led him to other spectrum’s of entertainment. He started to go to auditions and casting calls for live art performances, independent films, and major motion pictures. He’s starred in two stage play’s, one titled “Black-Man-O-Logue’s”(Dream Catcher Productions) & the other titled “Choices”(Dream Catcher Productions), and Tyler Perry’s “Daddy’s Little Girls” as an extra. His current “THE EXECUTION” project is complete with witty wordplay, storytelling and social commentary.

Nik-O-Licious got a chance to catch up with oh, so busy M.C./Artist/Actor and here’s what he wanted to share with The Heat fans.

THE HEAT: So tell us where you pay homage to?
CALLOWAY: I was born & partially raised in Miami & Perry Florida, Needless to say that I’m a country cat…But I’d like to think of myself as a “bastard child” of hip-hop…coming from florida to georgia & listening to ALL types of music along the way….My mental is a smorgasbord of creative music.
THE HEAT: When did you first fall in love with rap?
CALLOWAY: I first fell in love with rap in the late 80’s…I’d credit NWA, GETO BOYS, TOO SHORT & Rob Base & Dj EZ-Rock “It Takes Two” with my claim to dreams of fame.
THE HEAT: What’s the single you’re pushing off your mixtape?
CALLOWAY: My single from “The Execution” is “We Workin'”.
THE HEAT: Where did that song come from?
CALLOWAY: The single came from, working hard..REALLY WANTING & WORKING FOR SOMETHING….and in the END?…DYING for it if i have to..Dig?…I WANT this..I EARNED this!
THE HEAT: What are you bringing to the rap game that hasn’t already been done?
CALLOWAY: I’m bringing the EVERYDAY MAN’S struggle…his plight, his hunger, his desperation to DO IT!…My story is not the story of “Oh i sold dope”…It’s I WORKED (LEGALLY) over a decade to provide for my fam & I’m better than these niggas that sold dope. (LYRICALLY)
THE HEAT: What’s the next step for Sir Calloway?
CALLOWAY: Success….I promise I WILL NOT LOSE!
THE HEAT: Any other singles on the mixtape we should really be looking out for?
CALLOWAY: The next single to look for is “The Word Is An Ashtray” Feat. 4-IZE & JAWZ OF LIFE
THE HEAT: What’s next for Sir Calloway?
CALLOWAY: Whatever the Lord has in store…..
THE HEAT: Anybody you wanna shout out to that helped make this mixtape a reality?
CALLOWAY: First & Foremost…I’d like to shout out to Nik and The Heat for the interview & opportunity to be heard….It means a lot to me. Shouts out to the producers of “THE EXECUTION” .. Bolo Da Producer, Mr. KooMan, Epik, Traffik Beatz, Flawless Tracks, Jinx Beatz & Rashad Thompson Shouts out to the artists of “THE EXECUTION” …BIG RUBE & BACKBONE (OF THE DUNGEON FAMILY), 4-IZE, JAWZ OF LIFE, YUNG RUCKAS, K. GREEN, RHYMESTONE, DOSKI WO, MISS CC LAFLOR, RENEGADE EL REY, REISHA LAUREN, BLAKK & SLATE STONE
