Rapper YG Shot In Los Angeles: Report

Rapper YG has reportedly been shot in Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, the Compton rapper was shot three times in the hip at a recording studio early Friday morning. Despite the injuries, YG (real name: Keenon Jackson) was able to get himself into a his car and have a friend drive him to a nearby hospital.

Police were called to the scene and found shell casings and blood, but reportedly found the rapper to be “very uncooperative” when asked about the shooting.

No arrests have been made in the incident, and there is no word on the condition of YG.

YG has a well-documented history with the police, including a 2009 arrest for a parole violation, a 2012 incident where shots were fired on the set of his music video for “I’m a Thug,” and an incident last year where YG had to drop off multiple Drake vs. Lil Wayne dates because the LAPD were rumored to be barring him from performing.
