Quantic Dream – Kara

Quantic Dream has always pushed the envelope with technology, like with Heavy Rain back in 2010. They not only bring you video game experiences that look pretty, but feel pretty. QD know how to make a gamer feel his or her game. Taking full advantage of the PS3’s capabilities and architecture, they have built a new engine from the ground up and made a short film demo created entirely with this new engine. The short is called Kara and stars Valorie Curry from Twilight: Breaking Dawn. According to Quantic Dream, Kara isn’t their next game but only a demonstration of the capabilities of the new engine they have designed. Either way you look at it though Kara is emotionally touching and had me going for sure. So, look forward to amazing things in the future from Quantic Dream as they expand on the engine and show you that there is more to video games than blood and guts.
