Homicide detectives with the Dallas Police Department had been looking for an unnamed male acquaintance of Norman’s since her body was found in her apartment on Dec. 1.

On Thursday evening, detectives learned that man was found deceased in Conway, Arkansas and that his death is being investigated as a suicide.

Police have not defined the relationship between the man and Norman, nor have they identified the man or named him a suspect in her death.

Sharneen “Shawn” Norman, 49, is the daughter of former Dallas Cowboys player Pettis Norman.

Norman told NBC 5 he and his daughter are incredibly close and that he called the police after he didn’t hear from her for several days.

Norman said his daughter had recently moved back to Texas from New York where she worked as a music executive for a record company. Now living in Dallas, Norman was working for her family business.

“I want them to know she was a loving person. She loved to have fun with people, laugh with people. She had a big laugh,” he said.

Dallas police detectives are working with the Conway Police Deparment in the ongoing investgations into both deaths.
