That’s one of the scariest things about synthetic marijuana, or K2, according to Wegner.

“You cannot reason with them. They act as if they can’t even understand the English language.”

Wegner says many users end up in the emergency room.

“These are chemicals that were put together that are not supposed to be put in your body and can have some very serious side effects.”

Often times it makes users become aggressive, violent and combative, according to Wegner.

“It’s hard to say how someone’s going to react. I’ve seen some just flat out pass out and sleep it off and then I’ve seen other become extremely violent.”

Arkansas banned synthetic marijuana in 2010, but Wegner said young people still seem to get their hands on it.

“Right now one of the biggest things we can do is especially educate parents because we’ve seen a lot of young kids come having being exposed to this stuff.”

According to Poison Control there are 47 different variations of K2 known in the state of Arkansas.
