Orange City, Fla., police say a 26-year-old former high school teacher had sex with a 16-year-old student in her car.
The Orlando Sentinel reports that Stephanie Cobb was arrested and charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Authorities claim Cobb and the student exchanged 12,000 text messages over the course of four months.
Cops also say the student admitted to having a sexual relationship with Cobb and it started when the two were discussing his college plans, according to WJXT-TV.
Cobb didn’t comment about the arrest to reporters, but an affidavit obtained by the Daytona Beach News Journal indicated that Cobb is denying the allegations.
“It’s fabricated, all lies,” Cobb said, according to the affidavit.
