Dr. Miami In A Snap!

It’s a weeknight and planted in front of the television is a young impressionable kid doing what kids do, daydreaming that they are a part of the show. Oh, the show is MASH, like MASH the one with the military doctors getting in oodles of trouble while deployed in Vietnam, yeah that one. And that child is pretending not only to be on the show, but to do exactly like those doctors and make a difference, but he doesn’t quite know exactly how, when, or where. All the kid knows is that he wants to be a doctor, so many nights he ponders on that show and those characters and what it could possibly be like to be in the trenches of medical life.

Fast forward, now the kid has become a young man full of ambitions and still focused on becoming a medical doctor. After all those years you’d think that his focus might have drifted into another field of practice, but no it hasn’t. That burning desire has kept with him, and he’s actually in medical school trying to determine exactly which type of doctor he’d like to be…(most of us have changed our major like 12 times by now). Then one day as he was in a doctors office in Manhattan escorting a girlfriend who was to undergo surgery on a scar she received in a car accident, it hit him (no pun intended). Never before had he ever seen what he saw in that waiting area, a book of transformation, surgical transformations that amazed the young lad… That was the beginning of who you now know as the world renowned doctor to the stars Dr. Michael “Miami” Salzhaeur!

From the little kid with huge dreams to now being one of the most sought after surgeons in the states, Dr. Salzhaeur’s work is a beautiful testament to his determined young life. That determination is exactly what he stresses to his young followers on SNAPCHAT! His audience on snapchat has grown to literally hundreds of thousands to the point that he was even nominated for a Shorty award as “Best Snap Chatter Of the Year”. A doctor coming in second place to a hip-hop artist blows my mind and is confirmation to him as a person and dare I say artist.

As I spoke with Dr. Miami it was apparent to me that his charisma and bright personality was infectious and definitely a draw for so many seeking to be inspired. He told me that his favorite procedure to execute is the Brazilian Butt Lift, stating that it’s the only true transfiguring surgery. Dr. Miami spoke about our bodies naturally being square and the BBL shapes a body into an hourglass figure so many are dying for (truly dying for as many have taken the road of backroom facilities and being shot up with household products.) He gave me the impression of an artist who wanted to sculpt beautiful bodies leaving each patient satisfied and excited to show off his work. As we conversed no air of arrogance could be detected, only that of a man who works hard to define himself and stand out among his peers. Its no wonder the celebs are flocking to his practice, I would too… but the way my fat cells are setup, I have not enough to squeeze out and replace, (skinny girl issues). But if those doctors Dr. Michael told me about who are inventing a way to grow fat cells from harvested fat cells makes a breakthrough, I just might be one of Dr. Miami’s newest patients!

Dr. Miami doesn’t only do BBL’s he also does an array of other cosmetic procedures such as tummy tucks, breast augmentation, and facelifts. There are even procedures dedicated to men only and moms “Mommy Makeover”! Just perusing his work online is amazing and jaw dropping. His work is clean, precise, and fastidious. If you ever find yourself in need of a doctor of cosmetic surgery Dr. Michael “Miami” Salzaheur is definitely the man for the job, nose job, boob job, butt job…he gets the job done!

HEAT EXCLUSIVE: Adele and her connection to New Orleans

Sunday, December 27th, 2015

Adele releases new album, 25, and she continues to reign as a mega superstar. Unlike most music reviews, the Heat Magazine brings our readers an exclusive and intriguing connection between Adele and the city known for laissez les bon temps rouler. The English songbird is a favorite in New Orleans.
Although Adele did not necessarily need any help, New Orleans continues to lead the way in improvisation and rare creativity. A fairly new arrangement that couples the main body of a song with energy filled percussions, ad libs, and blends, New Orleans sustains a genre known as bounce. Unlike the origin of this Nola-bred style that has permeated the musical world globally, Adele is within a new way of creating bounce.
It all started with her chart-topping “Rolling in The Deep,” which made history being the highest selling song by a female artist. So where does New Orleans fit in? As Mannie Fresh states in a NPR interview, “In New Orleans, we bounce out everything”.
The Heat Magazine wanted to share this fusion of Adele with the up-tempo flavor from New Orleans. We are certain Adele has established a high level of success with millions and millions of record sales. Therefore, bounced out versions of her music may not come as a surprise. However, these examples of musical synthesis are quite different from the average mashup or remix.
It’s highly possible for listeners to gravitate to the new versions more than the original. Take a listen at two of Adele’s top hits “Rolling In The Deep” and “Hello” mixed with one of New Orleans recipes.

“1 LIFE”

1 life

Today I met 3 amazing young men(Jamal Williams, Terrence Shivers, & Quinten Williams), that’s out here trying to better themselves, not be in the street or behind bars. They drove from Atlanta just to met me and when i say i felt so honored and blessed just to be in their presence, I know more than they were to be in mines. One of the young men just gave his life to christ sunday and when he told me, chills just went all through me because you don’t often here of 20 and 21 yr old young men doing that these days. What really stood out to me the most was they quit their jobs and move from Cleveland, Ohio to Atlanta, Ga on HOPE, A DREAM & FAITH!! I was so in shocked but it touched my heart to see them be so excited and in tune with who they were and what they want. I can’t express enough of how they love music and most of their own. When you REALLY love what you do, you will sacrifice, do without, and move in a way that no one would ever understand but it’s really not meant to be understood by everyone. These young men out here putting in work, getting scammed by people, etc but they refuse to give up. I asked “Why go so hard for this music that you putting out?” They told me “Well if you don’t believe in yourself or what you do, who will!” I couldn’t have said it better myself. “1 life” has so many meanings that I could go on and on about, but the name actually speaks volumes for itself. You only get “1” so you better make the best of the one you have, cuz when this one is over you can’t get a repeat!! Check out these young men song, watch they videos on YouTube and give them some love, I promise you won’t regret it.  My Thoughts Of The Day

Getting To Know Mushiya Tshikuka From “Cutting It in The ATL”

Sunday, June 7th, 2015

On Wednesday June 3rd 2015, I was sitting talking to a really good friend of mines and in our conversation I told her that I would love to meet “MRS. MUSHIYA” from the show “Cutting It In The ATL.” She told me to go on Instagram and send her a message, I said why not It’s worth a try. Within the hour after I sent the message, I got a call saying that I could go with “The Heat Magazine” and do a write-up on Mrs. Mushiya the very next day. Oh you see how fast GOD works, that’s what i told my friend.  So I spoke it into the universe and it came to pass. I met Mrs. Mushiya that Thursday night and when i tell you that she is a FORCE TO BE RECKON WITH, honey that’s and understatement!! She’s so humbled and beautiful all in the same breath tho. When she found out about my battle with cancer, she was so amazed. She told me that I was beautiful, gave me a HUGE hug and kissed me on my cheek. I was so humbled, grateful and most of all shocked because she showed me that much love and didn’t know me from a can of paint. She told one of her colleagues about me, which her dad does nothing but research on cancer and took my info so that she could give to her dad for him to call me. I was so amazed myself, but I had to reflect back to why I was really there. That’s where GOD needed me to be at that very moment to do and get what he needed me too. When I say that I had a blast with Mrs. Mushiya and her crew from “THE DAMN SALON”  6780 Roswell Rd Ne. Atlanta, Ga, please believe me, I even won me a great gift! The Damn Salon specializes in ALL natural hair. She said “Who the hell says that natural hair has to be boring!!?” She believes that “BEAUTY” comes in many colors and shades no matter if they have kinky or straight hair. She also loves herself and want to teach more people to do the same. “Who cares what people think of you?” is what she always says. Can you imagine her face when she says that!? Yeah, I know right lol. You can find THE DAMN SALON in a more than just a few places like Atlanta, GA, Washington, DC, Charlotte, NC, New York, Houston, TX, and Montreal. You can also order the hair extensions from her brand called RUNWAY CURLS on her website and any other info that you may want to know about this Phenomenal Woman. I’m so glad and honored that I had the pleasure meeting her!! My thoughts of the day!

If anyone could tell you one thing about “Ms. TK” is that I LOVE fashion & style. So I stopped in on not only a GREAT friend of mines but where I shop at as well “Princess Beauty Bar & Boutique”, with the one and only Ms. Crystal Flecther. While I was there I felt what better time for me to pick her brain and ask her a few questions about her business. As we always do when I make my visit we have to drink water & chat to see what’s been going on in each other’s lives since our last visit. Today I surprised her when I asked If I could interview her, man if y’all could see the look on her face, I had to laugh myself. She was willing after I finished laughing. I really wanted to know, what made her open a boutique in the first place. “It’s a passion TK, I always loved to shop so I decided to turn my shopping into a business that also helps the women of the community” is what she says to me, so I say “Oh” because she was telling me something that I didn’t know about her. She goes on to say that she love to help every customer look and feel fabulous as well as to help build up their self-esteem but on a low-cost budget. She opened the doors in 2013, with no overhead all by herself. “It makes me feel like a robot sometimes, but I thank GOD that I’m blessed to be able to do it!” she said. In the next 5 yrs, her vision is to be a fashion expert on a tv show, styling celebrities, having her own Brand & some employees so she’ll have time to do what she needs too. Every year for Mother’s Day she does makeovers for mothers which consists of styling them and getting their hair done, with her being a single mother herself is what inspired her to “GIVE BACK” to the community in that form. She also has brought celebrities such as Shekinah(from the T.I. & Tiny show) , and Perez(He’s a celebrity stylist from ATL) to the city and have what we call a “Sip & Shop” event, that’s where women can come mingle, sip & shop all in one place. It’s not easy having a business especially in a city like Columbus, Ga where there is so much of the same things going on all over the city. When your heart is in the right place it does not matter how many of the same things going on opens, as long as GOD is in it, you’ll always win it!!! That’s what she told me in closing, Now those are some GREAT words to live by. If you’re in the city, stop by and give her a visit at 2400 Hamilton Rd, Columbus Ga or you can check her out on her website She she “ALL” styles of fashion from business, church, allnight-fun, & causul attire, I promise you’ll be hooked because I’M GUILTY MYSELF!! My thoughts of the day!!

Nominated 3 yrs in a row for the STEVE HARVEY HOODIE AWARDS as the best barbershop

Nominated 3 yrs in a row for the STEVE HARVEY HOODIE AWARDS as the best barbershop

I walked into a barbershop today that I’ve heard so much about around town, on the radio and had the pleasure of meeting them at the “Barbers United” all white event on Saturday May 30, 2015. When i walked in, I felt the fresh clean air as I inhaled to relax my nerves for this moment. I was greeted with a “Hello, how are you doing today how may we help you ma’am?” That alone made me feel at eased and welcomed, but most importantly I loved how the word “WE” was used. A lot of business forget that there’s no “I” in team and if it was not for the “TEAM” the business wouldn’t be what is. I had a chance to talk to the every barber as just that a “TEAM”, Brandon which is the owner, Blake, Salaam, Alex, Marcus, & Christopher. This barbershop has been nominated not one but three times for the STEVE HARVEY NEIGHBORHOOD HOODIE AWARDS. So I had to come be the nosey person that I am and see what was really going on!! I had a great time and conversations. I had to ask the questions about their mission and visions because people don’t get to where they are as a business without having the two. The answer was “Being a positive role model to the youth of young men, giving them something to look up too and know that can do it too instead of being out in the streets getting in trouble. Also no one is in competition with anyone in the city, we all can make things happen for the city of Columbus, Ga!” What stick to my mind the most is after sharing a little about my story with battling Stage 3a Breast cancer, Blake’s son asked me “Do it hurt?” I replied “Yes it does, i have good  and bad days” and he asked “Are you having a good day today?”  I smiled and said “Yes, especially since I’ve talked to you!” Remember we never know when we are entertaining an angel!! The atmosphere there was so clean, calm and relaxing but I could feel the spirit of the Lord all up in there. That’s the key to success, having GOD first in all you do! They also give back to the community by helping out with back to school clothes, shoes, supplies, free haircuts, and helping throughout the year as well, I call that “PAYING IT FORWARD!!” So now I see what all the uproar is about when it comes to the “NAPPY ROOT BARBERSHOP” 4231 Macon Rd Columbus Ga 31907 where you come nappy, leave happy!! So PLEASE vote for them on June 9th, 2015 at from 6 am til 6 pm for the BEST BARBER SHOP category. I’m putting my stamp on this so y’all know they are good people and if they win we as a TEAM & as a Community wins also!!! My thoughts of the day!
