Fashionable gear is not hard to come by, but custom made, tailored to fit clothing that rocks is difficult to find – and that’s where Bodacious Bodywear comes in to play.

Bodacious Bodywear, Inc. is a Memphis, Tennesse based company specializing in unique, innovative and creative bodywear, including custom made bodysuits and tights, including the new high waist tights. Custom handmade to fit the wearer, Bodacious Bodywear’s creations will soon include swimwear, skirts, and other clothing and accessories. Bodacious Bodywear also carries footwear.

Creshunda Miller, owner and designer of Bodacious Bodywear, is the talent behind the incredible outfits and has quite a gift – from taking the suits to mere material to making them jump off of the page in photographs. Not only does she has a variety of suits and styles, but accessories can be added to take them from daytime to nighttime and beyond.

The Heat Magazine recently caught up with Creshunda and she took time out of her hectic schedule to talk with us. Here’s what she had to say:

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: How long have you been in the apparel business?

CRESHUNDA MILLER OF BODACIOUS BODYWEAR: I actually started sewing back when I was in high school, when I was about 16 years old. I’ve been making the bodysuits since November of 2010 and my shop has been open since January of 2011.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: How do you handle getting the measurements from your clients?

CRESHUNDA MILLER OF BODACIOUS BODYWEAR: For people who are unable to visit my location, I can usually go by their height and weight. If they have their measurements, that’s a plus, but most of the time, I can usually tell by their height and weight – if they’re on Facebook or online, I can usually look at a picture of them so I can get an idea of their size.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: From what parts of the country do the majority of your orders come?

CRESHUNDA MILLER OF BODACIOUS BODYWEAR: My orders come from all over. I get a lot of orders from Florida, California, Chicago, Texas, and especially Memphis.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Do you do a lot of customization for your clients?

CRESHUNDA MILLER OF BODACIOUS BODYWEAR: I do customize the suits. Some clients want them short sleeved, long sleeved or tank style or with mesh on the side or lace on the back. It just depends on what the client wants in terms of style.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Tell our readers how they can find Bodacious Bodywear online.

CRESHUNDA MILLER OF BODACIOUS BODYWEAR: Our website is under construction, but readers can still check us out at www.bodaciousbodywear.com. We also recently set up a Facebook fan page for Bodacious Bodywear and we are encouraging people to “Like” the page, as we have had a good response to it. I also have 2 Facebook pages with about 1,000 friend requests waiting on each page.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What kind of events does Bodacious Bodywear do?

CRESHUNDA MILLER OF BODACIOUS BODYWEAR: We do a lot of different types of events. We’ve done the DUB Car Show. We also do a lot of fashion shows around Memphis. I do a lot of wardrobe styling for rap music video shoots.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: So what’s real hot right night, as far as the styles?

CRESHUNDA MILLER OF BODACIOUS BODYWEAR: One of my top sellers right now is a leopard print suit. They are very similar to the ones worn by Nicki Minaj. I have a lot of top sellers.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Where can clients find your shop?

CRESHUNDA MILLER OF BODACIOUS BODYWEAR: Bodacious Bodywear is located at 2838 Hickory Hill, Suite 28, Memphis, Tennessee 38115. Our telephone number is 901.517.1713.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Bodacious Bodywear recently held a contest on its Facebook fan page – the winners of the contest will receive a custom made Bodacious Bodywear bodysuit and will be featured in The Heat Magazine in our “Models” section in the upcoming weeks. Check out Bodacious Bodywear and make sure to let them know you saw their feature in The Heat.

  1. This is nice. Good LOOK AT for the guys… Good LOOK ON the damn females. The best thing is the fact that a female went against the odds and started a business that it seems she loves. That’s what’s up. Nothing BUTT love… I mean,… BUT love.
