THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Tell us about the mixtape.

STRAIT JIGG: This mixtape means a lot to me. I’ve had the title in my head for a long time and now the time is finally right for me to go ahead and put the material behind it.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Who all is appearing on the mixtape?

STRAIT JIGG: I have guest appearances from G-Unit signee, Kidd Kidd (which is big), my CEOS Da U Boys, New Orleans’ super producer S8ighty, along with a few other upcoming artists whom I believe are the future of the N.O. movement!!

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Tell us how long you’ve been in the industry and how you got your start.

STRAIT JIGG: I’ve been in the industry for over 5 years, from doing artist promo to locking down features, with other artists. I first got in the game recording on my laptop and leaking songs on MYSPACE (laughing out loud). Later, I helped begin Da U Boys’ rap careers,as well as our own label. Now I feel the time is right for my first official release.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What’s in the works for you in the future?

STRAIT JIGG: More mixtapes, more videos, more albums from Da U Boys, more radio play, more recognition… more, more, more!!!

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: When’s the Strait Jigg album dropping?

STRAIT JIGG: Whooa! lol… that’s a big leap right there. I’m gonna make sure I lock down this mixtape game before I step out into those waters lol… After you hear the mixtape, you let me know when the album should drop. (laughing out loud) .
