The oldest and most respected black sorority in the country is under fire for sexual misconduct and hazing at Fort Valley State University.
According to an exclusive report from Rolling Out, Fort Valley State University in central Georgia is embroiled in a scandal surrounding their Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
The report claims that recent members of the group are being accused of being involved in a sex ring that involved local businessmen and politicians as customers. The members reportedly were “pimped out” to get money to join the organization. Alecia Johnson, an employee at the university and adviser to the sorority, is being accused of being at the center of the scandal. She has since resigned from her position at the school following news of the scandal breaking in April.
Johnson’s attorney, Adrian Patrick, responded to the allegations, stating, “I just think that’s incredulous. I mean, I know people want to be in a sorority. I got that part. I just don’t think you’re going to sell your body. Plus, it’s inconsistent with the reputation of Alpha Kappa Alpha.”
